the cost of upgrading would be alot more then sticking with the RSD, and it doesnt sound like i would be gainning much by doing so after weighing what was said by you guys
so my next option is to keep the RSD 12 but power it off of a RSD 1200.1 since it puts out 750rms at 4 ohms (i got single VC) or i could swap the RSD 12 for a DVC and give the sub about 1400rms (im going on what zfactor said he benched his at on that figure) and i can set the gsains so that it only gives the sub about 1000rms, that way there is alot of headroom to work with

if i go that route i would also have to get a matching RSD amp to power the ti elite front stage.
what RSD amp would you guys suggest, the 500.4, and bridge it to 2 channels, to run the ti elites up front
if i do this then i would have an ms275, perfectly working, and a blown ms2125 original grey for sale if i went this route
running the RSD set up would be alot cheaper to do.
from what i remember reading about the RSD amps is that they are pretty much on par with the old MS series amp, i think i also remember readding that PG had help from one or more of the MS amp designers in the designing of the RSD amps. correct me if im wrong
running the RSD set up it would be installed as followed
H/U to a TBAT up front to a TBAR in back.
then from TBAR to the AX204 crossover.
from the AX204 crossover lowpass to the RSD 1200.1 then wirred to the RSD 12 sub
from the AX204 highpass to the EQ232
from the EQ232 to the RSD 500.4 then wirred to the Ti Elite crossover then to the mids and tweeters (and yes the tweeters are Ti Elite originals)
in this set up i was thinking about running the AX204 lowpass at about 70hz, and the highpass at about 50hz, so the sub will roll off where the Ti Elite comp set will pick up ( i could be worng on those settings, but after i figure out which route im going ill ask you guys for some proffesional advise as where to exactly set those at after i figure out what the final tunning freq of the box will be)
the Ti Elite mids are sealed up in a little enclosure in the doors and the tweeter is mounted up in the A-pillar bout 2 inches above the dash facing each other.
If i went with the Ti Elite sub, i would just in place of the RSD 1200.1 put in 2 MS2125's bridged to each coil giving the Ti Elite about 1400rms-1500rms (my best guesstimate there) and also just change 2 ms275's with the RSD 500.4
so if i went with the RSD set up it would cost me about $500 for the amps
which im sure i can sell the MS275 and blown MS2125 that i ahve for about $350, so total out of pocket to do the RSD amp's would be about $150 give or take
if i went with the Ti Elite sub i would have to find another MS2125, costing probably about $300, and also get my blown MS2125 fixed which PG flat rate is $140, and then the Ti Elite sub which would cost about $350.giving a grand total of about $800 give or take.
and also that you guys can give me accurate advice here this is what im looking for:
a have given up trying to have the loudest system, so this one is all SQ, but i still like it to be loud too, i really like the way my car sounds now, my only complaint is that i would like the low end to have a little more authority.
I am pretty sure that i can have the low end hit with some more authority with the RSD 12 if i were to tune my box a little bit lower so that there is a peak in the low 20's
the reason im thinking about keeping the RSD sub is everyone said that the gain from going to a Ti Elite sub is the low end authority, but i think the RSD I have can have better low end authority by lowerring the tuning a bit, and also from what you guys have said the RSd 12 will play above 40hz-50hz better then the Ti Elite will (i mean it will be louder in the upper (50hz-70hz bass freq) and from what everyone has said the SQ of both the subs is close to each other.
what you guys think would be the best over-all thing to do, take in account price and what i want the end result to be, mainly if the $800 for the Ti Elite sub set up VS the RSD amp set up, which would cost me about $150 (after selling the MS amps i planned n using) if it would be worth the money to do it, and would the cost differnce be worth the end result int he end.
and do the RSD amps and MS amps have the same SQ qualities to them?
thanks in advance
and just for bdubs....
no im not swapping out the Ti Elite comp set for something else, i really like how they sound since i installed the tweeters in the A-pillars and the front stage is right were i want them to sound so front stage is good to go
