I have a couple old school limited edition amps, a head unit of course, a professional line driver, TBA1 balanced line driver set, and an eq 215x model. Can this stuff be integrated together?
What about the EQ 232...would that work in this system with these components?
summary:
I was wondering simply if I can interconnect these or will I have some incompatibility issues?
- I see that the eq232 has something called a TBAt?

Will I need to make bnc to pl... i forget the connector naming terminology.
Finally, one other way to say it, is...would the tba1 set connect up to an EQ...if so, would it work with the EQ 232....or my EQ 215X...

EQ232 has balanced inputs but with an RJ45 connector. TBAt has balanced output but with a mini-DIN connector. (TBA2 has the RJ45 and EQ230 has the mini-DIN).

PG calls the mini-DIN "BLC" and the RJ45 "XBC". See this document for making a cable:

Just curious, I do not own an eq 232 but have the 215x... is that one a similar issue where you need to change cable ends...
That is, say you choose to use the tBA 1 set RX and tx. Is that a safe bet as opposed to using the professional line driver unit? What were the TBA1 rx and tX designed to be used with anyway?....or is it that you can just about make anything work but you need to maeks some cable mods.

The transmitter (tx) is meant to convert an RCA (non-balanced) signal into a balanced signal and it is meant to be installed as close to the HU as possible. Then the long balanced run goes to back/where the amps and stuff is installed and the balanced signal can be received by either an EQ or the receiver.

If you have the receiver, it just outputs non-balanced RCA again that can go out to an EQ, other processor or amps. If you have an EQ capable of balanced-in, you already have the "receiver" built in.

I don't think the EQ215x has a balanced-in so you would need a TBA receiver to use the transmitter.
