System design assistance needed

I need some advice, I'm totally conflicted in what to use in a new system focusing on basic SQ...not competition worthy, just a great sounding playful system.

Here are all the items available for potential use:

-Sony CDX-C90 source unit
-Linear Power X0-4 3-way crossover [dash mountable and adjustable from 32Hz - 5 khz]
-Audio Control EQL
-PPI PC450 http://www.precisionpower.com/Manuals/A ... ifiers.pdf

-(2) PPI A600.2 http://www.precisionpower.com/Manuals/A ... ifiers.pdf

-Soundstream Reference 700sx http://www.soundstream.com/manuals/AMP/ ... _7_10s.pdf

-Canton RS3 3-way components (1", 4", 6.5") [approx. rated at a minimum of 50 watts and a max of 125 watts]

-(2) Kicker Solobaric S10a 4 Ohm round "old skool" SVC subwoofers [tricky little devils rated at a minimum of 50 watts and a PMAX RMS of 450 watts with a .66 cu.ft. enclosure. However, if more power is available the box size should be reduced to .50 cu.ft per the original brochure  ]

Really it comes down to amplifier selection and component matching.

i would use the 700sx for the comps. the old ref have tons of clean power and headroom. bridge an a600 to each solobaric but be careful with the gains.

This is the combo I was considering, like you said I'm gonna have to be careful with those A600.2 gains as I don't want to fry the Solobarics due to their age and power handling. However, I did have a bridged ZPA0.5 back in the day running (3) of these Solobarics with great results.

So lets say the Soundstream is no longer in my possession.

What would I be better off running on my Canton components as not to fry them with too much clean powA!

PPI PC450 bridged at 4 Ohms pushing approx 200x2?

OR

PG MS275 pushing 75x2 to approx 100x2 at 4 Ohm Stereo

My concern is the vintage Cantons may not like the bridged 200x2 and they can't be replaced or found for that matter. Am I really over analyzing this?

I would change out the subs too, but my system is on a budget and its what I have from years past.

I have not used the C90 yet, I hope it functions properly after all these years when I do.

I have yet to hear a set of Cantons, but I remember drooling over them in all the adds back in the day, just seemed like a really well built line.
