Hello, I have had this ZPA0.3 sitting in my garage for the last 5 years after taking it out of a truck of mine. My wife and I currently drive a 2009 Prius and I'm looking to do a little modification to the stereo

. I don't want to go too balls to the wall so I plan on installing a single JL12W6 that I also have sitting around along with an Audio Control EQX to connect to the stock head unit. I guess my question lies in the impedance I should run. The JL is rated at 300 watts RMS while the amp is rated at 500 watts bridged into 1 or 4 ohms. Also put into the equasion is that the JL can only be connected giving it a 3 ohm or 6 ohm impedance.
How should I connect these? and how do I mathematically figure out the wattage for a single 3 or 6 ohm load?
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

i think you may run ito problems with the vehicle battery they only run a battery to power the base systems on the car start chucking high current demands at it and i think you will have problems
they do not run a normal alternator system and use a dc to dc converter to charge the 12v battery this is only rated at 30 amps i seem to remember

Meh, I called the local Car Toys and they said something about a digital amp and not to run a high current amp...... not good news, I was hoping to do this without any money out of pocket

So if I sell the Phoenix Gold amp, any of the newer digital amps would work with the prius? I will be sad to see this amp go, I used to run 3-12W6's with it...it sounded soooo good. I still have all 3 12W6's, I might as well sell them too and get a newer sub.
