hey guys,
any input on the xenon 1200.1 vs the ti 1200.1 at 2 ohms?
the xenon would be easier on an electrical system due to its
class d circuitry, right? correct me if im wrong.

hmmm I always thought the ti1200.1 was class d.

Considering you have all ti pieces I say go with the ti, and that coming from a proud owner of some xenon love. As far as the electrical system aspect, if the ti is class a/b then it will be less efficient.

That's what I always thought also.
Anyone with the answer?
Ti 1200.1 = a/b or D ?

All older Ti amps are class A/B.

If your worried about your electrical system and it's ability to feed the Ti1200.1(which is an A/B amp and sucks massive amounts of power even at 4 ohm) go with the Xenon. All Ti amps are A/B, although the 1200.1 puts out more than 1400 watts normally, there is a price to pay in the electrical upgrade area....

Hmmm, I had no idea. I swear I learn things here all the time. Yeah you wont be disappointed with the xenon. Unless you hate 1200 watts from 1-4 ohm.

of cold solder joints if you get the wrong one.

the ti1200.1 pulls well over 100amps but make some serious power.

Ive got one that I have had for a while with no problems. I really dont need it if you want one and no one is trying to sell one. Let me know if you want pics.

not sure I follow you...are cold solder joints an issue with the xenons?
^waynehead...you are talking about a xenon 1200 correct?

They work and go bad and need to be repaired or they work and keep working.
Every one I've had the pleasure of owning has been a very good amp.
So far 17 of them so far.
Mostly 1200s, 200.4s.

TI1200.1 is A/B and Xenon X1200.1 is class D. Both put out same power around 1400watts RMS. at 4 Ohm. Ti1200.1 efficiency is around 50% and X1200.1 is about 90%. TI1200.1 needs twice as much energy to produce same amount output. With TI1200.1 you will get better THD.

Sorry if I'm wrong.
I thought the Ti amp did 1200 at 2 ohm and 600 at 4 ohm.
It is the Xenon that will put out 1200 at both 4 and 2 ohm.

Sorry I was wrong. TI1200.1 output 1400 Watts at 2 Ohm 14.5V
