Got a line of these just waiting to hear back. are these gonna be able to handle 1200-1400 rms each daily

? I don't want to push them over there limits.

I'm a cranker and really want an all RSD system

Although i do not want to be limited in the way i abuse my system if ya know what i mean....
thx boys

Provided there's no clipping and you don't run test tones at them they should handle it ok. I wouldn't be surprised if one failed after awhile though.

lol dammit all!!! I'm thinking that all have to get elites then i found a wicked deal on theseRSdc's and i'm so close to pulling the trigger on them. I was thinking that the wattage i would be feeding them daily would be on the outer limits of safe. maybe i should get them anyway and take a chance. I have no experience with these at all.

Stryker just buy one kick ass 18" sub the will handle 3000watts and be done with it. The way your car is you can't even see the subs.... With the power you have i would take the elites over a RSDC any day but they cost more... I would save up and buy a kick ass sub wehen you get back from your trip. that way you will not be thinking this time next year Im not happy with the subs should have got the 18"sub or bigger....

you could run four rsdc 12s (one pair per amp)
and im sure it would pound the ground.
share some pics when you can

i have been runnin same set of rsdc 10s since mid 08 using a rsd 1200.1 gain set for 1400rms and NEVER had an ISSUE-they seriously POUND, & i ran them for 3 weeks off a zx500 - they sounded great too

^how significant was the difference in output from the tens
off the zx500 compared to the rsd 1200.1?

keep the power clean and unclipped and I would rather push too much power then too little all day long....

I hear ya as each xmax 15 that I'm currently running is receiving close to 800RMS and they are only rated to 500 watts. I've never used anything but my ears to tune a system.

I ACTUALLY got away with the zx500 gain set at WELL above its rating, so much so, ive been quaddrouple checking my dmm for its accuracy, output is noticeable diff. if u want to keep it sq only 500 to them,w/ slight 'umph, slightly more precise than the rsd1200, but i now send 80 hz 24db signal to my amp off my eclipse 5000 & the 1200 is a GROUND POUNDER, soo much so I find myself turn' non-fade down from flat to -3, ask db incognito he heard my other A4 and couldnt beleive the output of the amp and the rsdc10, i will try the new ti 10, but rsdc is best sub ive ever had in any vehicle, give em each 1200 and b prep. for ear damage!!!

why wouldnt they be able to handle it? set the gains properly for how you will be listening to music and be smart with the volume knob and they should be able to handle it just fine.
I surely wouldnt crank the gains, crank the bass boost and crank the volume knob...

Corey must be getting old he loves his bass very very loud..lol
he kinda a bass head. I think he is just wondering if the sub will fry with his amps RSD1200.1 x2 and will they be louder/lower than his 15"
I have been in his car its loud but he misses some of the 25-35hz range with his box/ports
Im sure he wants to get cleaner and more with the amp and gear he has.
he uses a bass cube and lpl in his set up.
Corey im sure you will not get the output with a set of RSDC12's now 4 you can do some real damage

I say get the RSDCs. They match, they will definitely fix your low end issue, they would be more efficient than Ti Elites, and best of all they are CHEAP! If one ever does blow you are out less than $100. Either buy another one, or sell the unblown one and move on to a bigger sub.
I suggest you keep your current box size and just run a naaasty low port tuning.
Alternatively, how about 4 x 10"? Could you fit that?

Tom you really think a RSDC 12 will out perform a xmax 15" in the low end?
I don't know about that he has the power but I know he really wants to use his amp at 2ohm. He has said it more than once to me he is not getting everything out of his amps and would like to run them at there full output. That is why I would say the elite would be a better speaker for him. I feel and maybe im wrong but 1200 watts rms for them would run just fine

The Elites would honestly be a better fit with the amps, but the RSDs will perform just as good, if not better, unless they blow (which probably wouldnt happen).
I want to see him put in Elites more than anyone, so I can live vicariously through him. They are still my favorite sub (due to purely subjective reasons).

I think the same thing. You feal the rsdc can keep up to the elites? i find the elite to have a bigger voice coil more xmax and love the power he can run. I would think the rsdc (still a nice sub)would be getting the crap kicked out of it to try to keep up and the way he like his music... I have never ran a system with more than 400-800 watts thats the only reason i sold my elites
now if he would get 2 cyclones and sme ti 9's for mid bass for get power that would be great for me.
My car is getting the audison lrx6.9 ( when it ships) and my jl 12w6v2 and boston pro 6.5 doors. I( need my trunk for the baby gear)

I am Hard sell to think a 12 that good as a a good 15" sub..
I was not sold with the RSDC10" had was not as good but not great my jl 10w7 the jl was a little more boomy (it was the box not the sub).
I have used alot of subs and Im not a believer that one company that sells to the masses can make all the best things. The RSDC sub was not to be there top of there line sub either I had the proto type RSDC and see it makes me like the RSDC subs less. The Elite to me is one hell of a sub(breaks the mold when it was made) the RSDC to me are above average.
I know this is going to cause some other to say things but I have never really loved Pg subs. But that is just me. I am running a focal 38x spl15" right now and love it. The orion hcca g1 and g2 sub IMO kill the pg RSD/Xenon/RSDC/Saphire/Xmax/octane and most of the pg line. I also love the sound of the jl 12w6v1 and 2. I know the guy tested it on the fourm but there is something about the sound they make that my ears I love. hex my home sub is a jl 15w0-4 off a velodyne amp and controller
and its great.
Corey has had since i have met him RF 15"(lower end) clarion 15"(middle of the road) and now the xmax 15"(middle of the road) he wants more out of what he has and want to still hit lower. Thats why i think a set high end 15" or a 18" would be very very good. I know he will end up killing a set of the RSDC 12 but he would need 4 of them to get the output he would be happy with.

Im thinking that would be better for what he would use and like
Im sure he hit in the high high 130 low 140 now im sure he would like to be at the 145 range.... crazy for me im happy with your set up tom I can't remeber if you had you 12 or 10 in it. just a little more low end
or my set up i have now. Im sure i would be killed by the wife if I had my daughter in the car and had my tunes cranked
so many years for me or driving with out my kid..

wow! thx for comments/idea's. I'm so close to pulling the trigger on the first elite of two that i'm hunting for....Things that are holding me back are efficency, and power required as I've done some reading through searches here on the forum. some people beleive they are turds without around 1600RMS, while others think they do quite well on 1200RMS. I'm truly undecided but have a sub(elite) in the waiting in the wings. it does not help that I've always wanted to have a couple ever since i first heard them way back when at a competition plus they are soooo good looking that i would have to redo all of my install to show them off.
I too feel that the RSdc's would be fine but it would have to be 4 122's 2 for each amp I'm not certain but that may be a tight fit in my car and I feel i would not be able togive them enough airspace ported, which I think they would require over 8cubes ported for all 4, sealed is outta tha question at the moment.
Mike is right i would like to be around 145 but closer to 147, my old system in the astro van had a top hit of 146.7 in competition using my Ti400 and old RF's measured at the dash in a large box 6.2 cubes. i miss that sorta action. I'm also not partial to PG( well sorta) and have been looking at sundown 15's and DD. I'm kinda outta my element when it comes to hardcore subs with massive motors and such but I'm doing alot of research. I'm hoping to buy soon and bring it home from dads in Cali when i go down for a visit in july. only way i can save a few bucks on shipping. Tom your link is a good one but they require a massive which would be okay but they can only take 1k. I'll keep ya posted on this.
Do you guys think the RSd 1200.1's will be enough for the Elite's too be happy and go LOUD? the safety on the gun is cocked, ready and willing to fire just want to be sure on this.
One last thing is 200USD a good deal on 2 124 RSdc's shipping included to Cali?
