Post by waynehead »

Ok so I came across a pair of xs-8's in a classified paper that is put out in my area for $50 dollars that supposedly have been sitting in their boxes for sometime. Im hoping they are in as good a shape as I am told. I wount have the time to go pick them up til tuesday. Anyway, was thinking of using them as midbass and wondering if anyone has.

I'm sure they would sound great. It's probably going to take some work to get them up front tho.. doors, kicks? Do it!!!

I'll be using an all XS speaker install with all M100's I have 6 XS124, 2 XS84 and a set of XS130's and 6 M100's I think it should be awesome. I can't see why they won't make a good midbass just have to use the door as an enclosure and seal it up pretty good with deadener.

get them, they should be quite good for midbass
if they're as good as they appear to be
worst is you could always sell them on here, I'm sure a few of us (me included) would buy them

Yes, definitely get them. I think Bogart has used them as midbass drivers before. I am in the process of using a pair of XS10d4 's for midbass/bass drivers in my doors.

In my van. It's a 95 full size chevy. Doors are freakin huge and there is no place for any speakers in it. I still dont know what I will able to do with the front stage. The locations seem horable and Im not going to spend money on time alignment. There might be just enough room in the kick area for my 4 inch rsd coaxials. Atleast that way they will blend easier with the 8's. I still dont see it creating a good stage. :? Im still thinking about eveything. Advice and ideas are always welcome :D

I know I love my xs8's, but just use them as subs. I have used them for midbass in the past and they were awesome. I'd love to do it again sometime in my doors.

How is it everyone else can find a set but me? I've been looking for some time to find a set of the XS84's.

Only one time have I seen a set for sale, but damn my broke ass luck.

Then I could go XS6 comp set, XS84's and XS104's. Then I'd be 8)
