Welcome to the phorum.
There's a little bit of discussion on the bigger stinger caps here about half way down.

People will always have different views on things. Its just the same as the passive vs. active discussion. I mean I agree with the upgrade your electrical system, but I also like the thought of having that extra bit when/if needed.

I believe the 20 had more issues then the 15, the scary part of it is that it happens without warning. Have you ever pulled the cover off of it?

Here is some more reading on the power core...
The one in here was described as a store demo and had never been hooked up.

The Stinger SHC6030 is and has been discontinued for some time. It had problems with the decorativer LED's falling apart, too bad to they were cool looking. Stinger has the SPC505, SOC5010 and SPC5050 which are 5, 10 and 50 farad respectively.
I can post pics and specs if you would like. What system are you running (amps only)

People need to forget the cap idea and buy the biggest badass battery they can fit in the space up front and rear,, near the Amps if possible and..upgrage all grounding locations with bigger wire, solder or compression fit only. Buy A hi output iragi or powermaster or msd ALT or have the OEM alt rewound and modded for more current.. That right there Solves All the power. Reserves and distribution problems.. I allways use 0 ga on both terminals from the front starting battery with a bigass 400 Amp solenoid on the isolated wire the +, then on to the battery in the trunk, Then to comp/distro. Blocks etc..I've used stinger / odyssey batteries with great resulTs..

x2 althogh this will start the flames wars that it redesed the voltage ripple and allows it to play cleaner. I have not opinion on that as I have never done an a-b comparison and do not really know anyone that has done this and found it to be worh the money.
Caps are band aids for weak electrical sytems. I have HO alts in both of my vehicles and the biggest batter I can find and have no realy issues. The voltage does dip a little bit at night with lights and ac on but it wll be hard to completely get rid of it in high power systems.

If I was hellbent on never letting the voltage sag, let's say on my mid and hi amps I'd use a US Amps Optimizer which are very clean on the outputs..set it on 16v and trim it down to about 15 with the lil voltage adj pot on The board near the output side..15.5V, if I'm recalling correctly, is the most input B+ voltage PG amps can take?? So running her (m, ms, zpa's etc..) @ 15V would let the amps make a lil more power all while doing it much cleaner than the car's B+..

THere must be a reason auto manufactures don't list the ( T.H.D. ) Of the power coming out of the car! Probably something like 25% T.H.D........
