Roadster 66 is it #002 or #026 ?

Post by ZTwenty8SSR »

I finally go pick up my roadster and it says #2 of 250 on the box so I am thinking it must be #002 .
I take the amp out to look at it and the numbers don't match .
Anybody know whats up with the 26 of 50 ?
And the manf 08.09 is it a date or just some kind of code ?
Has anybody else got a Amp # that did not match the box # ?

I do too and if I had the cash to spare I would but it just for fear it will be the last LE amp they will make tha I will not need to finance. They do look good too but the custom word in there will always make me giggle. it would not surprse me if they had to retool a factory over there to print that extra word.

Anybody else have this problem ?
Ya its no big deal but if they do not know the difference between 2 and 26 how will they know the difference from 250 and 2650 ?

I guess there is only 1 way to find out.

I still want to know what the 26 of 50 is all about.

The 2 of 150 could be a freight number when it was sent from china to the states. Total shipment on the pallete of 250 items and it was just numbered 2.

so this is an ULTRA-custom-chinese made amp?

1 of 50 would be one of the most rare on here and that pic would be the documentation to prove it wouldn't it?

it seems as though even since the early years phoenix gold has put the serial number on the circuit board and on the box so you would think it would still be the same. but who knows what they do in the recent years i do know the zx series still had it that way.

That amplifier was house in a box that was bumber 2 of 250 shipped on whatever PO was attached to it. This was a Rodin deal so I don't know if they did the labeling when they arrived in the states or what. Maybe the first 25 were sent as test market pieces who knows. What you have is box number 2 of the 250 boxes that were sent.

probably just a mistyped label. I have #11 and it says 11 of 500... it looks like your label/sticker is missing the trailing "0"

Image

I would be a little curious about the date though... mine was made in April of 2008, yours is just a few numbers away and was made more than a year later?

Woohoo misprints mean higher value :hurr: First one with 1k cash owns it

I was thinking the same about the date maybe the people at rodin can't count.
Or they made another run and there is really 550 now

Dose not really matter I'm installing it soon.

I also noticed that in the Rare & Limited Edition Registry the highest number is 100.
Seems kind of odd if there is 500 and nobody has a high number amp.

that would concern me that they were not paying attention to the small details, and that can lead to a big problem...

PG ALWAYS had misprints, everywhere! Pick any manual at random and I bet you can find at least a handful of issues.

Agreed, they could never read or write.

Many PG manuals are a english teacher's nightmare.

I really don't like seeing it on the amp though, QC should have caught that.....like when they were placing it on the amp, it is a sticker......someone saw it.
