pioneer p3200bt/p4200bt

ive been doing some research on these 2 units-pioneer p3200bt/p4200 bt avn source units- i need to stay in the $500 range-they both have generated excellent reviews for sq etc.-anybody on the phorum using either of these models? what do u think; what units have u used in the past etc./likes/dislikes of either unit?thanx for chiming in-christian

I worked at plenty of shops that sold pioneer, and never owned one myself. There use to be problems that would develope with the rca outputs ground going bad so it was a common fix to ground the outer shild of the rc to fix it. Prior to that they had that little resistor pill on the switched wire that would always go bad and end up being cut out.

I am on my 3rd alpine deck to date, only got rid of them to upgrade never had a problem. Yes I know they tend to cost a little more but with me being the installer, it saves me time/money.

I know not what you wanted to hear but just my opinion. I know some die-hard pioneer fans but they have just accepted these go-arounds as being ok.

i a very large fan of clarion decks i have never had problem with the higher end myself. i had 2 pioneer and they both had problem in the first 12 month

I have 2 AVH's 5100 and a 5000 happy with both...USB rocks...

nothing is wrong my cdx c-90& actually ive been using a eclipse cd5000-which has awesum sq-but my daughter misses dvd movies and my sony xav-w1 is visually great, but sq is herendous, even with having a line driver etc.would luv an eclipse avn, but if u can find em on the bay they are at 1k up , not in my budget

and a double din unit fills the audi space much better than a single din unit- the pioneers are newer&all diff. sources of reviews are consistent from users etc.- i was just curious if any1 on the phorum here had 1?
