To vent (IB foot enclosure) or to seal... that is the question?
Any thoughts on what could work better in an SQ setup.
I'm torn between the two so some feedback would be truely appreciated.
Thanks

ib means you still have to seal off the trunk from the cabin which is not always easy, and it generally doesn't sound as good as sealed either.

to me that more or less depends on how much power your running to them sealed they will handel alot more power but will be less effecent. ported would be better if you under power them but it will be harder to tune them.

I'd run them sealed with some light dacron fill in the enclosures.
Since your going to be running seperate midbass I see little point in porting your dedicated mids. They are'nt going to be playing into the region of the freq spectrum that they'd be tuned to anyhow.

the ZPM100 is a 4" midrange, and will be mounted in the kick panels..
there is a space at the moment that is vented to behind the steel in this area (and possibly going as far as the inner wheel arch)... Tiger and I originally added little boxes into this space to create a sealed enclosure with the kick panel pods..
as im sure he'll post pics of...

at least if you dont like the sound sealed, you can cut the back off and vent it into the kick panel area....

John, I just saw your build thread on MEA after I saw this. Just leave them sealed and all should be good.
