Ok- I have three working cyclones that I plan on putting in my truck bed- should I power them with 1 1200.1 xenon, or with 3 100.2 xenons, bridged?

I like the 100.2 idea.........

100.2's make full power at 8ohms bridged, soi would go with that!
i think it would make for a slicker install too each clone with its own amp.
plus 100.2s are CHEAP right now.

I importet 6 of them to austria for me and my friends over here in 2009

After all i´m stuck with two fully working and one for spares.
Usally they pop up on ebay from time to time. Craigslist had a few of them as well at the beginning of 2010

I still think one of those would fill in the lows my 8s cant hit for a great match. 4 - 8's and a cyclone....

you might not believe me...but try a xenon 10 if you can't find/afford/fit a clone

your right I would not believe a xenon 10 has the low end that a cyclone does...

^^^^ Believe me, they do and I will soon be running 3 10's off a TI1000.2.

after a setup like that I will have to... Maybe a 12 but the low end on the cyclone made an impression on me.

there is no way a xenon 10 is getting anywhere near 25 cycles- it can mechanically move at 25 hz, but the amplitude is squat-

? i'm not so sure.
errin had no problem making it play miced output at 18hz in the pg lab
i dont blame you for being skeptical, and yes it takes a ton more power to do it then a cyclone. and i'm not suggesting you should trade. but the xenon subs are freaks of subwoofer nature. the output is more comparable to a clone then seems possible
strangely enough, the x10's play lower then the 12's
sorry dave, i didnt mean to derail your thread

Dave - I totally agree that the cyclone plays lower and needs waaaaay less power to run, but the Xenons sound damn good and do go pretty low, even lower than my XMAX's

. The only sub I've heard personally that comes close the the Xenon is the 10w7 and you have the setup to prove it.

wut he said!
I only got the opportunity to install one cyclone. The memory that sticks in my mind is on the first real crank of the knob to test it. The other installer put hsi 18v drill(this was years ago so it was HUGE) on the rear package tray. When we cranked it up I had to grab the drill as it was headed towards the seat as it had magically levitated to the tune of 40 hz(or something rediculous). That was a big drill and it was not just simply sliding off but was literally 3 inches off of the deck moving down. A 10 will not do that and if you think so I think it has been a while since you heard a cyclone and I want to see that a-b challenge too!

plans might be changing with the recent purchase of a Ti Elite 3 way set with Ti9s but again the clone would fill that in nicely huh?
