switching leds in DD5

I am finishing my rear-seat-delete in my stang and so far really happy with how it is comming out. I flushmounted a large pg surfboard logo into the back area that is lit up with edge lit leds. Pics will come when it is done

I now have so much space for storage that I am going to move my DD5, base cube(on its way!) and my audio source ESP3 in there to show them off. from the start I planned on insalling an EQ215ix there(also on its way) but there is still enough space for tools, extra anti-freeze, more tools, fire ext and detailing products...

One small detail I have considered was swapping out the green leds in there that show normal operation to blue to match the rest of my interior lighting. Anyone done this before? I don't think it will matter other then the size but was curious if anyone had any input on it?

haven't done the led swap yet, but I will be doing the same to my DD5. I can't see it being too hard to do. Take your time...

I expect it is far from rocket surgury but was just wondering...

Like I said though am really happy with it so far, I added some brushed aluminum and some other little bits for accents. Hopefully I can finish it up complete and post some pics by the weekend.

iirc the blue led's carry the most voltage drop, then white red green or some kind of order like that-

So i would think that as long as you are aware of that and take that into consideration.... youll be okay

perhaps it will have no affect, as some LEDs (like the red boarded LED's in the MS series) have an actual function (serve a purpose) versus just looking good/neat. they reduce voltage in some cases while other applications they are simply for show... parhaps jason or eric can speak a little more intelligently about the use and functions of various LED's than I- but this is/was my understanding.

I picked up a 100 pack of 3mm blue LEDs off ebay a while back. I've been putting blue leds in everything ever since! I do appreciate the offer tho. Hey I could send you a bunch even LMK...

I got the 8000mcd ones, 15000mcd will be blinding! I find the ones I have still a little too bright, I would suggest 5000mcd or lower...
