The Audison LRx5.1k

http://www.woofersetc.com/p9186/LRx-51k ... lifier.htm

It doesn't have the sub power I want, but for an all in one chassis, I'd make the sacrifice. Now to find one cheaper.

50 x 2 @ 4 ohms class A on chs 1 & 2 (tweeters)

160 x 2 @ 4 ohms class A/B on chs 3 & 4 (mids)

1150 x 1 @ 2 ohms class D on ch 5 (subs)

1150 from 1500 is only 350 watts, or ~1.5 dB, though w/the ZEDs I'd have more output, ??? :hmm:

We'll see WHEN the $$ actually comes in. For now it's down to the 3 ZED amps or the Audison amp discussed here.

Looks like they're selling them for m.a.p. That's probably how they're getting away with selling Ausison online.

Audison makes a killer amp! I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed with it!

Audison's website still claims that any purchase over the internet voids the warranty.
http://www.audison.eu/index_main.php?Section=Warranty

WoofersETC is known for transhipping alot of items. They tried to claim they were a authorized dealer for rainbow and 6speedcoupe on DIYMA called them out on it.

I have bought from them and had no problems, but with a high dollar item like that, I would be leary of buying from them.

what pg amp are you leaving alone to move forward this audison??

imho if you want an audison that ''sound'' you must take a vrx line or better..

I suggest you an audison vrx 6.420  you can find it used under 1000 $

Their website only shows SRx, LRx, and the out of my price range Thesis. I'll look into the VRx line later tonight.

I was looking at the PG Ti600.4 and the Ti2500.1

As it stands now it's coming down to the Audiosn or the 3 ZED amps.

as much as I don't like it, I couldn't paint it. I could see those amps blending into a range rovers interior or something with real wood on it but I could only paint it if it was fake and I don't think that is fake.

Yes... it is real wood. That particular VRX is the "Chrome Shadow" version. The regular VRX line is deep blue with an aluminum (not wood) trim. I'll have to get pics up of my Integra soon, which has a VRX4300.2 8)

and you can get the polished trim from the v2 VRx amps, as 1 of the guys here has done... and is selling the VRx6.420...

That would be scary, what if you needed to use the warranty and they are out of stock. Then try to force you to get a different amplifier after you spent all the install time on a amp rack for the just that amp.

I would be pissed.

Where I'd get one I don't know. I did the dealer locator and I didn't see exactly what I was supposed to do. It was as if I was using their "contact us" section.

I don't know about the size, but also the Zapco 650.6 or the 1000.4 & 1100.1 I'm looking at, and PG's back in the game. I figure I might as well settle for ~1100 watts for the subs so the 2500.1 would do just fine. The power difference from 1100 to 1500 watts wouldn't be to noticeable.

We'll just have to wait and see when the $$ gets here and where I'm at. As of this very moment, it's the Audison in the lead. The deciding factor has a lot to do with it all being in one amp.

After measuring space available, it looks as if the Audison is in the lead, followed by the PG's then the ZEDs and the Zapcos are out.

I easily have room for the Audison, use up every bit of space w/the PG's and w/a bit of crafty work I can make the ZEDs fit too.

I think in the end I'm really liking the Audison. I'll sketch all 3 layouts and post them to get your thoughts.

Post number 2001, I made the 2k mark.

I am not sure what load you were thinking about running one of the PG Ti amps at but the 2500.1 at 1 ohm does every bit of 2500 watts (that is what nick has on the 8 R2 10's in this explorer). The same is true with the 1500.1 They were conservative on the ratings that are listed versus what has been found in real world testing. Just a heads up.

Hertz/Audison makes a great product as well

Mids and tweets are 4 ohms, subs will be at 2 ohms. So what I'm after is something in the range of 100 x 4 @ 4 ohms and 1500 x 1 @ 2 ohms.

Both amps have to be from the same company and line and SQ in the main priority.
