anyone done this? I am sure the results are the same either way but was hoping to find someone with real input on it. My box is pretty shallow and I noticed the voice coil is vented so I do not want to cover it. I could mount them backwards and read the rubber gasket is reversable just for that reason but wanted to make sure.

you can pull the rubber off the magnet and gain some room also.

I was thinking something similar for the Camaro... i want to save some trunk space and build a tall/wide/shallow box and was thinking about firing them into the cab so that I could use the space behind the rear seat more effectively...

But, chances are that I will break down and just buy/build some side enclosures and mount them normally.

let us know how it goes.

it will work out better for what I have planned. I like how my box hangs from the rear deck and is out of the way. I am going to cut the ends of it off and have the subs invertered firing in towards one another. The box is seperated internally but I think I will add some second skin speaker tweakers on that brace in the middle just to help kill the internal soundwaves.
