How many different AL models were there? :hmm:

I've bought a 1200.1 and a 800.1. :hurr:

I've seen a DD10 AL
I'm almost afraid to ask how many more items am I looking for to complete my AL collection?

I'm a bit of a TiAL phanatic myself. ALL of the Titanium amplifiers were also made in aluminum form. The only accessories I've acquired in aluminum are the powercore15, diddy10, and elite crossover. I've been collecting TiAL for years and have yet to encounter anything as far as a bass cube, powercore20, equalizer, r-link, rmd, or distribution blocks. Hell, I even bugged the guys in Portland about tracking down a Ti12D elite that would match my amps. No such luck! I think that about covers all the possibilities.

Is that discouraging enough to sway you towards selling or trading me your Ti1200.1AL!?

didn't I warn you about this?

There is no 12 step program for titanium aluminum addictions which is why I have stayed away from them.

What was up with the Al line, why did they suddenly decide to do them?

They did it to sell overseas and not have the amps rust on the way over..... To my knowledge(which may be little in this matter) PG produced a large number of the AL's for the overseas markets.... I'll ask Phil about this matter and see if he has any more info....

AL versions started for the Japanese market only. As they complained of some units rusting.

At some point there was extra stock that filtered out to other markets.

I prefer the look of the AL myself, but thats just me.

I have wanted to collect the Ti-AL series myself, but I think I have enough PG-gear by now. I do not have a house large enough to build a showroom for all the amps I would like to have as wallmount...

So luckily, I have gone away from the Ti-AL addiction...

I've got a 1200.1, 900.7, 500.4, Elite XO, DD10 and Powercore 15 in Aluminum! :D

I think all I am missing to have a full set are the 600.2, 800.1 and 1000.2. Too hard to justify buying them if they just go under my bed though. I don't have the money that some of you guys do

I think the ALs look a million times better and the light weight is awesome! However, they seem to rattle a lot more than the regular Ti's and ZX amps in my experience. Even my little 500.4 is probably the rattliest thing in my whole car! And I installed deadener under the cover! :hmm:

I think that collection of yours is rather nice, and not cheap either...

Don't forget the 400.2 Tom! Did you sweet talk Ryan out of his DD10 or did you track down another one? I'm still missing the BIG 3 amps in my collection, but have amassed everything else including several of the 500.4's. Someday I'll even put 'em to use!

I sold Ryan MY DD10 with the caveat that if I wanted it back, I had to buy him a DD5. I bought it back from him a few months later :)
