So it is now
Nakamichi CD-300 £129.99+£4.42 New
Nakamichi CD-500 £175.00+£6.50 used no pilot
Alpine 9887 $220
well as for the looks i prefer nakamaichi, coz i got a jeep cherokee II so it looks old

, all in my price range, and mp3 is just enough, so now which one is better for the music listening??

I also got the imprint piece if you would like to rent it to record a couple of curves. You plug it into the deck and a pc/laptop and it plays white noise through the system and measures how long it takes and what is recorded to try and adjust the signal to make it flat and time alignment makes the sound hit you at the same time. When it does this it automatically sets the curves and downloads it to the deck where it is stored even if power is removed.
Not all that familar with nak as there was only one shop that I worked at that had it and we didn't do much of it as it was having lots of transportation err's and jamming up to easy. Sounded good, looked simple like you said but they just never seemed to last past the warrenty period with out us pulling them for service of some type

marko told me that there can be some problems with NAKs during transport, so $220 for alpine HU delivered to europe?

Anyone care to elaborate on the Nakamichi issues? I used to have some of their stuff, and was considering a new HU of theirs.
