need opinions

Post by todd217 »

im thinking of butting my ms275 and a ms2125 together then mounting them to a large sheet of thick plexi. the plexi would then be mounted to my mustang in the trunk where the seats fold down. when the seats are down you could see the guts and it would look like the amps are floating in air(i hope).

It's been done several times before. You would want to make some sort of mounting board to hold the amps together, so the plexi is not baring any load. Other than that you are good to go! Take off the two endplates, stick them ass to ass, and slap on your plexi.

I think Marko had this in his install... I have seen a few others do it as well. Looks really nice, basically like a white SOFAS ;)

im thinking about either 1/2" acrylic or 3/8" lexan and grade 8 bolts and not using anything else to support them. the SOFAS look is what im going for.

I am pretty sure he means to use the heat sinks. He just wants to mount those sinks to a heavy duty piece of plexi to cover the innards and mount the amps. Heavy duty plexi instead of the thin stuff we are used to seeing on MS series stuff.
