Hi:

Is anyone ever install one of those sub before?? I recently purchase a used 15" stroker and I bring it to the installation shop to test for me...

They connect to the amp and there is no bass sound and the cone was like jamed (when you push the top flat surface of the sub it does not moving in & out) I test other brand's sub the paper surface does move up & down like the audio shop guy says, so is this which means the sub is not working??

The yellow area in the center of a stroker is not designed to move alot. Test the voice coils if they are 4Ohms and hook it up if so! And never ever touch the allen screw. Look on youtube how those things should move 8)

PS: If your audio guy doens´t know an oldschool cervin vega stroker tell him to get out of business :snooty:

They are stiff but should be able to move them...

But as the spindle in the middle is fixed.
You skold get sound even without any big movement of the VC.

looking at those strokers remind's me of when a speaker still had to actually sound good and not just play two bass notes. i had in my possesion at one time a friend's bumper 15 that was professionaly tuned it had the same surround as the stroker but had a glass aramide dust cap. i took a coustic 380 amp and bridged it on that 15 and i was awstuck it sounded suprisingly clear yet it would shake the bricks on my house. piss on all the crappy sub's you gota put thousand's of watts to just to git them to move and then once you get them going they sound like crap sub's have went to crap because of the spl generation.

what about the later version which is hexagon shape??

P.S That's the problem here in China, you will never know who to trust even the audio shop's guy!! That's why I rather purchase all the gears from USA instead get them in China, those guys are full of BS...
