Not sure how to wire the sub since every sub is different. Manual doesn't specify either. Do I hook the sub up to one side, then chain positive to positive and neg to neg? Or do I hook up the positive on one side and the neg on the other side then pos to pos and neg to neg?
going for a 2 ohm load

If they are dual 4 ohm coils, then you want to connect the amp + to coil 1 + and amp - to coil 1 -, and then connect Coil 1 + to Coil 2 + and coil 1 - to coil 2 -. That is parallel wiring and will give you a 2 ohm load.
Series wiring would be wiring amp + to coil 1 + and amp - to Coil 2 - and then connecting Coil 1- to coild 2 +. This would give you 8 ohms.
If the sub is dual 2 ohms coils, then you will either end up with 1 ohm or 4 ohms if you bridge your amp to it. Or you can run them @ 2 ohms stereo. Depends on your amp's power output and capabilities.
