M100 Question...

Hello forum! I picked up a couple of M100s in great condition and opened them up to get the capacitor info for replacement and noticed one set on the rails were black, 5200 uf and 50 volts and the second was this:
They were obviously bigger and look just like the ones on my MS2125. The solder was clean and the screws inside seemed untouched and all the power supply caps were leaking on both. I was wondering if this was normal as both were revision A but with different rail caps. I am going to change them to make them identical, but just wanted to know.
Thanks, Gabe.

Digikey, Mouser, and Newark carry them all day long.......why would you buy caps off ebay, that's just asking to get ripped off.
Most caps sold on Ebay are old stock and not worth looking at let alone using.
The rail caps look replaced to me, looks like the cheapo's that Digikey sells. They were not done by PG....that I know for sure.

Thanks for the info, I've got the black Matsushita Panasonics from digikey for @ $5.60. I bought 8 to do my MS amps, but the M100s are soooo much easier, so they went in first. I used 3 8200 uf caps on the power side instead of the 6 2200 uf. All available at digikey.
I think someone should do a How-To for the M series amps cap replacement because mine didn't go "perfectly".

I would have kept it the way it was....it came with 6 for a reason.....or they would have just put in a few instead of 6 and saved money and time

I would have, but I am not ready to repair the vias (bottom solder pad) vs. lifting the capacitor and soldering on the + and - planes. I went in too hot while removing the originals.
I am assuming these are more for reserve capacity vs filtering, so the only disadvantage would be current using 6 leads instead of 12 maybe? I did see the how-to on repairing vias, so I may tackle that eventually. More the reason for 3 is I had the 8200s on hand and just picked up the amps yesterday morning.
