Make Your Own RCA's
Make Your Own RCA's
Quick question here that has a simple answer, I just don't know what it is. I'm making my own RCA's using Stinger HPM2 cable that I bought from ttocs, and want to know if all of the shielding needs to be connected to the ground lug of the RCA connector or just the one shield wire that is twisted with the positive and negative wires. I stole the pic below from diymobileaudio, but my wire looks similar except it has an additional wire braid shield on the outside. Should I attach the wire braid shield as well? Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt response guys. I'll just have to make sure I ground the shield to the correct end of the wire since it has directional markings on it.
