i would like to here what you guys thinks
i would like info on what sub sounds great hits hard needs 2 cub or less
but if 4ohm 280watts rms or 480 2ohm
sealed of ported the size would be 10 or 12 maybe 15"
I do own 2 nib rsdc10-4
the car is a mk2 jetta 4 door
if I could find a nice set of 3 10w0-12ohm or the same in 12
old school 10-12 w6 all 3
if the soundstream spl hit a little harder in my back i would just keep them

I could only use one a the 480 or both at the 280
I feal they will not have the power they need
or do you guys think a single 10" RSDC will be plenty off 480 sealed or ported?
I like the output of the jl 12w6v2 I had it was just missing something for me. or im sure the box was not 100%

I will trade you a 12w6v2 for your rsdc tens...but didn't you already used to have w6s?

he wants the old w6's....v1! They hit hard as hell! And are crystal clear....i mean as clear as a sub can be! The w6v2 needs to be ported! Imo....sounds much cleaner!

Hands down... The Image Dynamics IDQ D4.v3. The 12" version in a sealed 1.0cube enclosure is just magical. Read the reviews and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone that isn't blown away by them. I am running (2) 10" v3s and it is the best sub I have EVER had and I've had DLS, W6, IDQv2, Rockford, Peerless, Alumapro, I've had subs from about 15 different manufacturers and hands down, this one has the best package when it comes to CLEAN output, spl, SQ... I love these subs.
And to answer your question, 480+ watts to a single 12" v3 in a sealed enclosure would be SQ nirvana in my eyes. I suggest you find a dealer and go take a listen. Woofers etc has them for 299 shipped but you can find better deals. more like 229 or so.

ah, i read the first post as rsdc-4 meaning 4ohm, ie dual 2ohm.
the pair on 280 wouldnt really compete.
i really want someone to do a idqv3 vs rsdc test now! shock, how you described the idq, is exactly how i described the rsdc lol.

i would think so! havnt heard a sound stream in a solid 10 years.
maybe snag a prefab box or borrow one and give it a shot! they need about 5-6 hours to break in

What size enclosure do you have those V3s in? I have the same setup (dual 10s sealed), running off of a PDX1000.1...I haven't been all that impressed...but I'm pretty sure my enclosure is just too small for them.

I'm running them at .75 sealed per side. thats optimal for me.

OK guy I have 250-300RMS watt each dvc rsdc4ohm sub
what would be the best sized sealed box or ported box
port size ect I was told .7cub sealed but didn't find out yet if that account for the speaker or not
the reason im asking is i know i don't have the watts to kick the crap out of these subs but ported need less power and will be a bit louder
i will take this info and make my final plan
I have a fair amount of trunk space that can be used also
let me know what you guys have tried and liked

i thought ported required more power

that not what i read and know. you do need a subsonic filter to stop the sub form playing below the tune point.
Only makes sense if you push on a sealed sub its much harder than ported

ported definately will require less power to get loud. Having yoursubs in a sealed enclosure will let your subs handle more power. Of course sealed is the way to go for most SQ setups but I have heard some very clean sounding ported setups.
