I decided to put the mq430 I am getting from wheelieking to work in the gt after I fix it for rear fill. I will have an extra 5 and 1 Ti Elite and can run them band-pass from the aux output on the eq215ix as well as attenuate the output so that it will not draw too much attention from the soundstage. Should fill in nicely I think. The only place I really have the ability to put the amp will be on the bottom of the subwoofer enclosure in back. I am not big on this because of the damage the vibrations can cause but do not really have a choice. Since I will be repairing the amp first I wonder if there is anything I could do to the amp to help prepair it for this use? Not sure if I could maybe mount something to help reduce the vibrations on the amp/board or if I should just add something to support it better? I will reinforce the area the amp will mount to reduce vibrations and just overbuild the box in general to help this but didn't know if anyone had any other ideas?

I have never had an amp fail that was mounted to a box, it probably vibrates less on the box than the rest of the car does. Seriously feel how a window or body panels will flex and then feel the side of the box while playing it's more solid than anything.

Amps are build w/vibrations in mind. Think about it. Even if you didn't run subs the road vibrations alone can be rough. The only concern I could see is air flow to keep it cool.

Yep almost all home theater subs have plate amps mounted right in the box.

use those little rubber donut cushion thingys in between the amp and the box.they are about the size of a dime maybe a little bit smaller. this will absorb some of the vibes. i wouldn't worry tho.
