OK guys I know the terminal is fused with 2 125 mini fuses but my question is, are both 0 gauge inputs fused? I ask because I am going to be doing my Big 3 upgrade and was going to run my 0 gauge alternator wire to one of the 0 gauge terminals if it is not fused. I have a 250A ANL fuse for the alternator wire. If both sides are fused I will just use the Lug connection on the top of the terminal. Thanks for any help. Bill

no only the one on the end that is seperated by the plastic is fuse. I used that as the fuse from my alt to the battery, but to each his own.

ttocs It makes a much Cleaner install your way. I will still have to fuse my Amp wire anyway but its much easier to hide that fuse holder on the amp wire then to hang or strap that fuse holder to something between the Alternator and positive terminal. I got a 250A fuse for my alt wire anyway so its the same amp rating and a trade off and that fuse link on the terminal is closer to the alternator for me and I have a lot of room to hide the ANL fuse holder along the fender well so it works out perfect. Thanks a million for the help.

I would agree but I have seen others argue that the wire to the alt does not need to be fused. This goes aginst rule #1 to me of ALWAYS fuse the power wire with in 12" of the battery.

I am being safe and fusing it anyway. Now I have one more question for you and I am sorry for asking so many. I am running MMATS amps, they are not fused so you have to externally fuse them. I have a 100A for the D-300HC which is about 1750 watts RMS and a LM4065 which is about 260 watts RMS but underrated . I have a 0 gauge power disto with 1 0 in and 2 4 outs and 80 and 100 ANL fuses for the amps in the disto block. What should I use for the amp wire by the battery? I had bought the 250 for the alt wire but now I am going to use it for the amp wire near the battery? Should I drop that fuse on the amp wire to 100 instead of the 250?
