So,
1. can i use one of the 4 remote outputs as the 12v for the power antenna? is the remote outputs fused also??
2. when hooking up lighting to the DD5 am i just using the ground and the remote, or is the hot switched on off w/ the power as well??
Thanks.

the dd5 should be installed like a small amp it has the main power/ground and normal remote like a amp. The unit that need to be fused to the amount of the fuse used. so let say you have 3 output of the 5 being used and they are all 10amp than you would need 30 amp fuse.
as for using the output on the dd5 it will power thing like pld1 ax over and other brand of equipment
it is not used for amps
here is the manual
http://download.phoenixphorum.com/Manua ... Manual.PDF
if you are just using the remote to the amp to make sure there are no pop sounds ect than you don't use the power or ground side of the little black plug. For ease most will install say a line driver xover and use the power/ground/remote to clean up all the wire mess that can happen when using alot of items.
1. you need to find out what is the power needed on the ant. the only problem i see is those are made to have power on for only a little time and turn the power off till the car is off than power is add and stopped. I would think you would damage the moter on the ant.
I think and not sure but the remote is wired into the fuse you would add so if there is more current draw you would be protected
2. the dd5 will turn off with your key as it uses a remote wire so there would be no current draw when the remote from the deck is turned off just like a amp.

thanks for the response.
When you turn the key off. Does the remote outputs and the power outputs go off?? or does the remote only go off. Sorry if i am not asking my question right.

You want to use the ground and remote or the lights will stay on all the time as I found this out personally, Dave W. showed me that if you hook the positive wire / s to the remote input and the ground wire / s to the ground input (-), the lights will come on when the unit powers up and will shut off when it powers down based on the delay setting on the DD5.

that like for omly 5-10 second than the unit shut off 100%?

NO IT DOESN'T ... if you hook the LED lighting to the + and - inputs, they will stay on all the time as the + input is hot on all plugs, not like the remote input which is hot / triggered when power is applied. Try it for yourself as I have a DD10 and speak from experience and seeing it work in action.

No problem

, I didn't know about this either and Dave showed me the error of my ways

. I LOVE my DD10 and don't know how I ever lived without it from previous installs.

thats what i needed to hear.
remote and ground
You would never believe how many wires could run to one component

you might consider what I am going to do. Instead of th remote turn on to power it, use the accesory. Then you can power your deck from the DD and ensure its power/ground are from the same point as the amp. I am going to use the delayed remote turn on from my EQ215 to turn on my audio componants and still have them be silent/delayed.

How do I wire a alpine headrest monitor blackbox to the dd5 then,I've got a live a earth and a parking brake wire coming out off the box

the parking brake wire is probably just the ground in the circuit. Does it show it going to a parking brake that grounds itself? IF so then just wire the parking break wire into the ground out on the ddX

What about the remote output on the plug,I don't connect anything to that do I,so live goes to the live and earth to the earth and also parking brake to the earth, is that correct

if you want the screens to have constant power then yes, if you want them to turn off with the deck wire the power to the remote out. With constant power you will probably have to reach back and turn them off, after you turn off the key.
