big fan of PG I hope my system speaks for itself anyway, the one only goes to 16 volts many of the high power amps goes as high as 18 volts.Need some opinions on that

I was suprised to find out the D9 amps I am selling will take 20.
With that output, what does it matter?

some goes as high as 18 + volts just more power.

Well, from the looks of your install (very nice BTW) you are not running in SPL comps with a 18V bank of batteries, so like Scott said, what does it matter?
Unless you have a PS capable of delivering > 14.5V, then having the higher rated PS input voltage is just that, a higher rating, it is not going to make any difference to your output unless you can supply the higher voltage.
IIRC that amp takes something north of 700amps at full output. That is three runs of 0Awg and a lot of charging system work even before you even consider worrying about running a higher than normal PS voltage.
Good Luck,
Jason

exactly- its 6k for the amplifier, and another 4k in alternators and batteries- its sort of a spinal tap thing, where the amplifier goes to 11' -a 16volts is the least of the downside to that amplifier-

Keep in mind that if it makes it's rated power at 12 or 14 volts, that might be a bigger plus than a wider input voltage range. Also, keep in mind that although an amplifier might be able to accept a higher PS voltage, it does not necessarily mean that the amp will do more than it's rated power. That all comes down to the amplifiers power supply design and regulation scheme, not the rated input voltage range.
