LEDs not working on Elite Ti 12" woofer
LEDs not working on Elite Ti 12" woofer
How's it going guys.. I'm looking into an Elite Ti 12" sub.. the owner says 2 of the 3 LEDS do not come on, on the cone. I figure this has nothing to do with the functionality of the sub, I would just like to know if its a common problem, and if it is a simple task of just replacing the LEDS. Thanks in advance

with the cone being removable you might be able to replace them. Take a look at the manual to swap it out.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately I can't tell from that. I'll have to wait and open it up I guess.. would really like to get them working though..
Another quick question for anyone running this sub.. how much power are you feeding it? I want to run a Ti1000 but I'm afraid it won't move the sub at all..
they made no amps that could push a sub in the same product line?

hi, ti1000.2 will not run that sub to full potencial if thats the amp u running, the amp will not do very well at the impedence load the elite 12 will present on it * i tried).
1000 watts will get that woofer moving and if u need a kick ass box design for it lemme know, i have done lots of things with that woofer.

You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!

Thanks for that.. I'll definitely give you a shout on box design. Do any PG amps come to mind that could drive the elite?
I would like to be able to run everything on stock electrical.. runs of zero gauge and big 3 thats about it

Ti1200.1 might come out at a little bit higer power than the 1000.2 running bridged, but they are essentially the same amp, so even though (IIRC) the 1200.1 is rated a little bit higher, I doubt it is likely to do that much more.
The only thing from the Ti line up of that era would be two Ti800.1's strapped for 1.6Kw RMS into 4 ohms. Another option would be two Ti1200.1's gain matched and one on each VC, but that could be tricky to set up. Two Tantrum 1200.1's for that era would be wicked, but the tantrums 1200's are tripath class D amps and will often not be repairable when they fail.

Jason

Thanks for that info, and with that I think I'm going to stay away from the Elite, as I did want to go with a matching setup, as well as something that will work on fairly stock electrical. Cheers
