That should be fine if it's a quality cable. If it's a cheap wire, then consider upgrading to a better 4 awg wire for the long run. Also check for corrosion (wire turning colors) at all connection points. Replace where needed.

I ran a Ti600.2 and a 500.4 off 4GA for a long time. I recently upgraded to 0GA because I am swapping the 600 for a Ti1000.2. You shouldn't have any issues, especially if you are using a line driver or a high volt head unit.

I'm running 0g into a Power Core 15 then to a distro block (1 0g in - 2 4 g out) to a TI 500.4 and TI 1000.2 and haven't had any issues 8) . I'm running all Streetwires Powerflow series and the better the wire the better off you'll be  , never ...ever, ever, ever go cheap on the wire  .

it will play, but I would not be suprised if it would not get a little warm when played at high volumes for a good length of time. I do no mean it will catch fire, but it could possibly limit a little of the current you would need at high volumes. I am currently ripping all the 4 awg out of my stang to replace with 1/0 and 4 awg for my roadster and mq430.

Now the real question is if you ever plan on upgrading, or keeping this car for a long time. If you are then bite the bullet and save yourself the time of running power wires 2x, and the price of replacing it. It will be worth it in the end and I can promise that there is a way to do it in that car. Some cars are harder then others but do it right, do it once....
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

I think I may upgrade it to o gauge. hadnt decided. only because I am not sure how long I will run these ...maybe long time..ha ha ...maybe a week.

The only thing I hate about older amps of any brand is they are not near as efficient as the newer stuff out now. its hard to beat the efficiency of new stuff.
