Planet Audio Big Bang series amps

Post by Bchester6 »

Guy down the street is selling these and I know nothing about them. Kinda mixed reviews online but I need a little expertise on this. I know that these were made prior to their merge with Boss audio but still...I can score all 4 of these hardly anything but I don't need more junk in the garage.

I was under the impression that happened less than 10 years ago but whatever. I just would like to know if anyone has any experience with these things. All of the specs I find online come without a THD rating which makes them suspect...made in the USA for whatever that's worth as well.

I seem to remember that the older amps are tube style...... :hmm: Took about a minute to warm up but were pretty nice amps iirc. The Big Bang woofers were MONSTERS though......
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I'm kinda nervous about this whole "digital" amplifier thing for mids and highs. Sounds more efficient than good SQ to me but thats why I posted up.
