1000 watt amp suggestions?
I need a 1000 watt amp for around 200 bucks. I know it's not a lot of cash to invest, but its all I got. I'm not really worrying about brand at this point, it just needs to push a Titanium Elite pretty good. I just need some advice on what to buy and what names to trust. I was thinking about buying either a kicker zx1000.1 or an alpine mrp-m1000 because I have seen them go on craigslist for about 200 bucks. I'm not sure if these amps are just poor quality or what but any help is appreciated.
Maybe one of you guys have an amp that you would want to sell for 200 bucks? If not, its alright. Any direction of where to look would be great! Thanks.

Wow that's a good price on an amp like that. Will take into consideration, thanks! I wonder how long it is though lol. It might not fit where id like it to.finbar wrote:Boston Acoustics has some deals.........

There was a Tantrum 1200.1 in the buy/sell for $225 not long ago........
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

The RSD is a favorite of mine. Hours at 1ohm on 2 15" type r's on several road trips and it wasn't even warm when we got back home. Worth the $200-250 when you find one...

Haha I guess I should be more careful with my words so I don't sound like a complete moron....Rold Gold wrote:That's what she said.............lukeman269 wrote: I wonder how long it is though lol. It might not fit where id like it to.

I guess Mike is going to keep his two tantrum amps

I did see the NIB Tantrum 1200.1 on Ebay but that will probably sell pretty high. I guess it's worth a shot to watch and see what happens on it.

I got a crossfire VR1000d for 185.00, does 1000 at 12v birthsheet (not longer have) put it at 1387 at 14.v.
Probably one of the best 1000w amplifiers from its era and to be honest not alot of amps in that range today could out do it.
Old VR amps were freaking tanks I have ran this amp for well over 3 years running 4 sundown E8's I have owned pretty all but a couple of models from the VR line. I still have a VR4000 thats sitting at Crossfire right now waiting to get a pair of new Class D driver cards.
Amp is a beast but really easy on the electrical need a 130anl fuse though.
