i was wonder whats the difference if any in a grey colored ms 2125

as with any grey ms series amp they are the amps that where made earlier than the white ones, some of the grey 2125's have the speaker cables on one side and the wire's are smaller.

there is no hard and fast rule that you can say that this amp is better than that amp, they all sound good but with all the variations that the M and MS amps went through it's not possible to say an amp is better because of what color it is. for the most part though if you do have an early 2125 with the older speaker connections it could be proven difficult to upgrade to the latter style setup.

Some people swear by running the older versions of the amps, claiming they sound better.
Personally I would want a newer version amp, because it would have all the signal path upgrades. I doubt the sound is changed that substantially by the minor mods they did.

just got the amp today i got it for 250 all the caps were up graded they look huge and blue in color. the amp is very heavy.how much power do this put out with upgraded caps?

more capacitance does'nt magically change the windings in the power torriods or raise the rail voltage so it's not gonna make a significant amount of more power

but it will smooth out the sound some and allow for maybe 1or2 extra db's that may not seem like much but these amps are already better than most amp's out there so any improvement is good

ok guys i just hooked up the amp tonight the 2125.i was running a zapco z300c2 that was 150x2.first thoughts wow this amp has balls.the staging is alot better more of a clean sound my mids were really loud i had to turn them down a quite a bit.the staging might be do to the dual mono design of the amp.i am really impressed and happy i got it for 250.this amp is up their in sq for sure!!!!!!
