Post by mhyde71 »

What you guys think????

black heatsink, and candy gold / gold plated covers.....? so in keeping with the black and gold look.... i came up with this...

@ HEY Randy - primarily for you- but would like to hear what others have to say.

it seems a little dull to me for some reason. Maybe make the rca colored or something?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Made in the USA looks better without gold. Overall I like it. Hard to tell though with it not on an amp.

gold looks better on the rca, but I almost wonder if it shouldn't be the old-school hot-pink and make it really pop?

HOLY SHEIK SHIT......

them look great....did you put a gold rim around them or is that the picture?

also...the m100 is the only amp with the full number in the M all others are half

not sure if you were going for the full stock look or not..I like the full number gold myself like you have it...at any rate...I need to send you a few m50 covers to have redone..

looking at one of the pics...think the last one of the m50... it looks like the front panel has like a white line around bass/gain and rca's area...but (and given not in shop right now) but i wanna say that it truly doesnt exist ... i really dont recall seeing that- but will confirm inna short bit...but truly dont think that is real... think maybe photo is playing tricks with me/us...

but yeah they really do look great and even better in person!

the edges are a little heavier- yes... it is perhaps one of the downsides of shooting like 4-5 coats on same part/s...

first was primer, then was chrome base coat, then two coats of candy gold and one coat of gold plated powder...artwork then clear coating...

so six (6) coats in total all together from start to finish... and consequently yeah little build up on edges... I did some sanding inbetween some of the gold shoots, to smooth out the larger drips that occured on a couple of the pieces....

6 pieces in total all together... 3 tops, 3 bottoms.

i was going to go the way that PG did initially...but couldnt figure out how to do it... granted i didnt spend all that much time with trying... i tried the eraser tool...but didnt come out like i wanted it to, so i went with full number in the "M" instead- as the M100 has, yes.
