it would be cool to get some small sinks to use for amp links.

we need to have a contest, who can make the coolest ms amp,on: finish & circuits...man I cant wait, I have a anodize schem thats sure to be a top contender!! I only need 1 heatsink ms1000 size..hope the big spenders around here remember, everyone needs a fair chance at buying 1..

and maybe on the next go around if there is one, everyone can pool the money up and buy a huge lot order!

What he said. I'm about to install 3 MS-275's in my vette and would LOVE two 5" wide links for the project.

Thats also one idea :)

Now guys, as i told you my intention is not to make money on this, just try to brake even, the actuall cost now is 10-12$/inch (this is what everything has cost me. That would be just the raw sink without any holes to the transistors/fets or mounting holes, the demand that suddenly appeared is over the top, i had no idea that so many wanted sinks :) So at the moment the demand is aprox 5 lengths (of 4 meters)! I'm in contact with the suplyer and have asked him if he could make some more, if this goes trough the $/inch be lower :)

I have checked the sink and it is a 100% match to the sinks that i have, i have also tested a board inside the sink and it was a perfect fit :) So i am happy with this outcome.

So do you guys think this is a fair price? Do you still want some? I'll try my best to get things as cheap as possible.

I haven't got any quote for making holes yet but he told me that it would be cheap, i just have to draw all hole patterns in 3D/CAD drawings first.

So what do you think?

I'll give you a quote as soon as possible, the two next weeks I'll be working a lot so i do not know when yet :)

When it comes to shipping to the us it would be a lot cheaper if we could arrange to send everything to one person in the US an he would ship it out, just a thought what you guys think?

AMAZING WORK Nils !
Back in the days I refurbished these, I spend many hours to get the sinks look decent again. Also found amps with such battered up sinks that I refused to refurbish them. Would have been great to be able to buy new ones from you..
Especially since we have a first-class powdercoater amongst us now; you paved the way for some special projects that were impossible to create before!
Good show man, congrats.

So as it sits , $12 an inch a ms1000 heatsink is $408...plus shipping from Europe, plus shipping when it gets to the states if its all shipped to 1 person and then distributed from there. shipping in the states is $40 and up. so around $500 for a ms1000 heatsink.

I am not sure where you would be able to ship a sink that large very far for $40 unless yer going greyhound.... I would think it would start closer to double that price if you are lucky.

Thanks nico :)

I'm now trying to order some more, i have also gone trough all my expenses again, and it seems that there will be closer to 10$ and not as high as 12$ :) And if the manufacturer will make some more sinks to me the price will drop 2-5$. I'll get back as soon as i get some answers, in meantime all of you that have shown your interest in this and haven't sent me a pm with amount and adress, please do this so i can give a quote on shipping:)

actually it might only cost me as little as 25 bucks to send by UPS, a ms275 sink wouldnt cost much at all. I use a biz account from a repair shop local to me. my the price was usually half of a regular ups store and fedex is out of the question lol.. So I used this biz account when I was selling lots of amps on ebay etc..It only cost me 85 a few yrs ago to send a orion gs500 to Italy using that account. I know times have changed but Ill still see if I can use the account, which Im sure I would beable to.

So If I get the green light Ill offer to be the middle man for the shipping of the cut heatsinks within the US to help everyone save some money. hows that sound?
