Can I do it?

Post by ade_beer »

Hello all. Building a new system out of stuff I've had for a loooong time without using. One of those is my old phoenix gold ti 500.4. I just ordered a set of Massive audio RK6's (4 ohm) for the front. Can I bridge the channels on this amp and run at 2 ohm for these components? What RMS would I get doing so? Thanks!

the load of the speakers wont change...the amp will see 2ohm stereo on each channel, or 4ohms bridged. this is perfectly safe for the amp (it will want at least a dedicated 4awg to make sure it gets the power it wants) it will easily do 250 x 2 in that config

I see how my post read unclearly.... just wanted to make sure the amp was 2 ohm capable. I have heard the xs series don't like it. Wanted to make sure the ti's were capable. Thanks for the answer!
