will be there any alternator whine or issues if i bolt the heatsink directly to the chassis of my mustang?
Maybe.
What amp is it? If it has the grounded or floating switch on it, you can try both settings, and one will probably have less noise than the other. To my knowledge this is just what that switch is used for.
