Tantrum 600.4 config question

I've got a 600.4 that I want to drive a dual coil Alpine type R with (front and rear bridged to a coil each) and want to know which position the config switches should be. I've had a look at the manual and it seems like I can send one set of rca's from the sub pre out and the amp will use this one input signal for both fr & r outputs if it's configured correctly? Has anyone run a dvc sub from one of these in the way I'm intending?

Setting the rear input selector to "F" will allow you to feed the signal from the front rca input to all four channels. So yes, you COULD do that, but it's really not optimal due to the added complexity of matching the levels and filters for front and rear channels.

I would recommend using that big four channel to its fullest potential on some mids and highs and utilizing one of the other amps in your signature for the TypeR. Any one of those (save the sapphire) would be a better match depending on your sub's voice coil configuration.

why would that make it more difficult then if there were 2 rca's?

Thanks for the input, this is in my gf's car the 600ti and the sapphire are in mine. The subs a dual 4 and I wanted to run it A/B. I had a look around and couldn't find anything suitable (2ohm stable bridged) the 600.4 came up on eBay so I bought it. I've fitted it now, set it up with DSO nano and it sounds really good.
