My options right now are....

2 rsdc 10d4s

1 focal 33v1 http://www.amazon.com/Focal-33V1-Polygl ... B002LWZAB4

1 ti15

2 dcons http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/stor ... %7DS4.html

The 2 without links need no introduction. 500 watts and I'm gonna try to fit a ported box in the z28.

Anyone have any input. I also have a line on a set of Treos but cant find the model.

I'd take the Rsdc 10,s depending on your amp choices and if the d 4,s would work out for ya,

I would take a chance on the Dcons, i realize everyone is all hard for the Rsdc's, but those look well built
and you would be supporting a little guy operation. just my .02

Im half thinking that . The DCOns are absolute beasts as well.

BUT one more option. 2 treo tsx10 4.4 are in the mix as well. Cheaper than the other 2 10 inch sub options no less. Treos good shit.

edit. Treo TE like these http://www.treoonline.com/infosheets/te_subwoofers.pdf

i personally did a rsdc12 vs dcon12 shootout in the same box.

the dcon was a *slim* winner in punch, but the rsdc plays extended lows much better, played noticeable deeper, and easily took it on sheer output.

The rsdc's would require a slightly smaller box compared to the Dcon's, but I'd say you'll be happy with either decision. I have no experience with Focal or Treo so I can't comment there.

what kinda of music do you like? guessing rock, also what kinda of power are you running?
the focal nice over priced and not loud, rcdc are great but never like the 10's just me but didn't like them.
the ti 15 would or could be made to be a low end monster but we need more info
I have always wanted the treo's. Im a fan of jl audio w0,w1,w3 sound or even mb quart subs they are cheap easy to get and can kick some ass with little power. im not they type that runs crazy amount of power

Metal mostly. 500watts rms. I have access to double that but the goal this year is to see what we can do with less . I dont mind turning down the bass for a song but my son loves to TURN IT UP so it has to be able to bump. We figured it all out and to maintain stealth we have to stay below 3 ft for the box :-( Ive been lookin at W03's but honestly I dotn want what 70% of the cars have around here :-)

Is there a pic/post for the TREOs? I might be able to tell you what line they are. If they are TSi's or higher, that'd be my choice.

Out of all the TREO lines, I'd like to trade my SSi12.22's in for 2 TREO TE12.22's. Those are 500 wrms and are above par compared to the RSDc's. They are TREO's SQ sub. I had the privilege to build a box for the first 12" TE in Indiana for demo as our local store was a TREO dealer (still is, until old stock is sold out then no longer :( ) and I'm such a HUGE TREO fan. In the same box, the TE12 was 2 dB louder then the SSi12 off of the same amp, set up.

They will play lower w/o care then most people think. I mean that in a good sense. How much are they asking for them? Anything under $180 a piece new is a great deal for the 10"s. They will play very good in small boxes as well. My two 12"s have 1.4 cf per sub ported (tuned to 35Hz) and they are very musical and when the power is applied they will get plenty loud. As most know, I'm set up for SQ w/o any change of settings, I'm in the 140-145 dB range. Just think, a bigger box and 75% more power what theses will do/sound?????

GET THE TREO'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RSDC should out do the Dcon in some categories. I feel the RSDC is up a market segment from the Dcon. :)

Dcon/RSdC about the same in my book. Either way you cannot go wrong.

Treo, good stuff... BUT do not blow it up as the rebuild time is long.

Prolly gonna be dcon unless something pops up today. Just to be different. Its like my build. Only one or 2 people seem to run XS so that's what I'm doin this year. I had everything planned out for 3 xs2500s then that 4600 showed up and I was gonna do 2 2500s and that ,. I don't have room though :-(

I gotta say I'm thinking of something tiny though. The arc audio mini clones intrigue me.

After reading the build threads on SSA while the Dcon was being developed, the Dcon would get my vote. Maybe not the baddest out of the bunch, but I doubt it would leave anyone wanting more.
Not to mention be running equipment few have even heard of.
SSA's approach to their products says alot about their company, and probably why they have such a cult-like following. lol

OMFG. The DCON FINALLY got here today. I about had a heart attack when I opened the box and it was all cattywhampus in there. The one poofy block came loose and it was all flopping around in there.

It looks okay,. not what I would call imposing sub,. hmm.
