unless you time is only worth about 2.00 an hour, why not just buy a new lpl- readily available, for something like 39.00

I know its a 50k ohm pot and a piece of phone wire, so about 3 bucks and 5 minutes. I think your math is all fucked up man. I just need to know where to solder.

and it typically looks ghetto, the newer style lpl is a much better finished assembly, and it unplugs at the knob for a cleaner install-btw, have you every soldered 28 gauge wire?

doesn't look any different when you go to ace and get a knob to go over it. I have not seen them less then $45 myself.

I find it is easier to use a little thicker wirea and then only use a few inches and then connect it to a male end. Just use a male-to-male connector and this way you do not need to unscrew it if you remove teh panal, just unclip the adaptor.

A nice guitar knob maybe instead of the cheap chinese plastic knob that comes with the factory one.

As for soldering. LAWL. You don't know me.
