looking for 1Gb usb drives

Post by ZTwenty8SSR »

I am looking for some 1Gb or 512MB usb drives to put mp3's on to use in the usb port in my camaro. I don't need larger capacity I only want to put 1 cd on each one and print a label for it.
If anybody knows a good source that sells usb drives cheap please let me know. I would like to buy 50 so that I will have extras and it would be a lot easier to make the labels if they are all the same.

Thats an ass-load of flash drives bro............
I could see 1 drive for each artist but 1 for each album........ Thats a center console full of hunting for music.

I dig the idea though.......... :D
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

I like goldy locks' idea best. I drive for each group.

That might simplify the search for usb drives. A bunch of 2g or 4gs instead of a ton 1g 512mbs. Buy those in bulk will save some skinny cash too.

as long as the deck was fast and easy enough to search everything then yea I would put them all on one but I if your deck only has a 3 line display searching though all that could take a while.

Between sirius radio and my cd changer I rarely have a need to switch disks or media as I can normally find something to listen too that I like.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

I checked them out but there are no prices listed they want to print stuff on them and I don't want to pay over 2$ each shipped for 50 and that's only because I got 3 1gbs 2 years ago for 1.99 plus tax each.

My plan is to make a small tray to hold them and have 20 in each of my cars and 10 spares I am only going to put albums I like on them and leave them like that.
I thought about having larger drives and labeling them a to z but that's 26 and the cheapest 4gb drives are at walmart for 8.88 ea plus tax.

Thanks for the help maybe I'll find them later

Maybe I'm missing something here, but would traditional CD-R's work? It'd be a lot cheaper and offer 700MB.

I kind of have to agree with others on this, having 1 CD per drive is kinda inefficient.

I figured if it has a USB port it should have a CD slot. That's why I wasn't sure.
