Phoenix Gold Phorum

I recently purchased another RMD online from ebay. I have 3 but actually still need one more black one so that I can see the voltage of both batteries in the back, one for the power componants on display(DD10, battery isolator, RDDP) and then one under the hood. The most recent one I got I thought was just the standard tantrum version but upon closer inspection tonight finally opening it, it has a satin black paint rather then the tantrum and the circuit board is nothing like the other two. This one has a speaker on it, not sure what it will sound like or what for. Is this for the new line of amps or what?

strangly on this one it has rather then the cursive phoenix logo the straight letter one. Doesn't mention anything about a speaker. When I hook it up to my 12v power source(13.8 normally) it reads low as do the others but there is no sound. Wonder if it alarms when its too high?

the circuit board on the new one is alot simpler and looks like a large 16 pin chip does the most of the work and then there are a couple of diodes, and an some super micro resistors and one transistor as well as the speaker. Dual layer board, nice looking electronics package definitly MASS produces...

whoa! thats different....i havent seen that before!

its night/day different from the old one. I didn't even need to look a the old one to recognize the difference with the speaker on top.
