I run a deh-6900ub . It has a crossover so when I got the US Amps I thought Id just use that. My favorite test CD is "the sky is crying" SRV. its very clean and well balanced and I know how every single note should sound. It sounds great and everything but every once in a while Ill hear a little,..something that shouldn't come form the sub, come from the sub.

Am I going to need an external crossover?

Personally after seening that amp and the issues you have been going though with it. I would try another one and see if you get the same "noise" that turn on/ pop we saw making your sub pop out like that is a tall sign of powersupply abuse.

Try a different amp and see what the results are.

yeh well. I have some amps coming in so Ill try one of those but the amp is playing just fine now. I have no idea what I did when I installed it but pulling and reinstalling and replacing the remote wire fixed everything. I told ya man. I wired that thing up at like 230 AM so god knows what I did.

Speakin of late night stuff. Dude. My hands are so messed up form burns and cuts I got while trying to do that stuff half asleep.

Are you still getting that turn on pop to the sub after you redid your wire job?

I have done the 3am car audio installs many of times lol I know what you mean.

Atleast you didnt butcher your hand with a serrated knife like my buddy did trying to cut a dash mount, damn near seperated his thumb from his hand at the web part, had to get 18 stiches!

No more pop. I played it for hours yesterday. The only issues I'm having right now are possibly the decks crossover and the basscube wont set up properly. Ive set my cubes up in 3 different systems with sealed subs and it only took a few minutes. This time it seem like adjusting does nothing until it does to much and when I back off it does nothing again...

Yeah. Back in like 99 I had a friend slip while cutting a door panel. He ended up having surgery to reattach a bunch of crap he cut across the top of his hand. Wait, that was,. 89 lol.
