What would you all do?

The local store here intrusts me w/odds n' ends. They gave me a PPI2150 that is dead. They told me it powers up, but puts out no signal to the speaker terminals on the amp.

They wanted me to ship it to PPI for repair. Called PPI up and got the RN number and a price of $265, plus about $25 to ship it to them, for a grand total of $290.

I was watching a few on ebay, though I didn't see thier final closing price, the 2 I saw were at $277.50 w/only a few Hrs left. I told the store the cost and they told me I could keep it and do as I please w/it.

I see no marks on the board of any kind.

So, should I sell it as is, or wait untill I have the $$, around tax time, to repair it for myself?

I took a few pics, so here they are.

Yup ! I seen these before and PPI does not support these anymore so someone was lying to you at PPI. I know because I have known the Cali Rep for 20 years... and for a fact they do not support any of these older amps.

I know because they will not supply me and SIPs <those stand up ceramic cards one for each channel >
So I have designed my own and am having them built in Maylasia.

I can fix your amp, You have at most a blown channel and a blown power supply. And I will do it for less than PPI.

LMK if I can be of help Cecil  :D
