Why doesn't this work?

I bought a 15 farad powercore, zx 600, and a 500.4. I ran the power, ground, and remote to the powercore, but when i turn the car on theres a loud high pitch beep and no lights come on. I figured it was the charge I forgot but when I called a number on the site they said even without the charge there should still be some kinda light and that he thinks something is broken. Should I still try to charge it? whats the safiest way to charge, I've never done this before. Thanks.

in ford cars if you turn the key and here a beep it means you have warning light out.

you do not need to charge a power core- it automatically charges, and discharges- you either have a wired wrong, or you have a loose wire, internally, or you have something much worse going on- I have 3 of these things, and there is no noise when then engage, other than the solenoid slapping shut

take the case off of the power core and inspect it as they are known to go bad.
