Any opinions or insight on sapphire amps? There's a 3.0X for sale I'm interested in. It could be ok for sub duty but my sub is 3 ohm so what do you think?

I think a white sapphire looks a bit like a mini MS amp. The insides are nice too because the board is gold plated. I assume these aren't triple darlington?

saphires were pg's entry level amp in the ms era. They were nice little amps but didn't put put a whole lotta power was my only concern. Sounded smooth but more often then not they seemed to lack some power.

Let's put it this way: which would be a better sub amp, Sapphire 3.0X or M50. I don't need crossovers in amps. By the numbers Sapphire puts out more power, but something tells me M50 would control a sub better @3ohm bridged.

You know, I don't need more amps, but if I ever see old school PG amps on sale cheap I start developing reasons to buy 'em..

yeah that seems to be a problem for some of us. have got a m50 in my car at the moment and find it much better for sub than the sa.03 i had a while back.
