i have a 2004 honda civic coupe.
the 3 sub i own or i can have
are

new clarion 15" pxw1542 dual 2ohm 3"vc 1.5 sealed box
seen these installed back when they came out 2005 clean sounds great in the show car but?350-700rms
or
1999-2000 jl loaded box 3 10w0v1-8ohm used sealed foam is fine no cracks ready to go 375-500rms

or

focal kx38spl around a 2000-2001 model used i have to trade some gear or maybe spend some money to get it back
only 5mm xmax but very sq sub again close to the 1.5 cub sealed for a 15"
500 rms 1000 peak
i will be using the pg roadster 66 so i have good clean power

let me know what you would use i not a bass head just like clean sound with some volume 125-135 db

Try to get the Focal back! BTW: It has Xmax of 9mm

i am trying but the guy so far will only trade a mono amp and 2 10" for it so he is a little out of it

I have texted the guy with my old sub but he has not gotten back to me yet
i will trade him my x200.2 with oem and black cover oem box paper work and the 3 jl10's/box for it but that all i am willing to do

So think worest case what would you use? i might have a xenon 12"dvc dual 4 also


so my civic will have a set of clarion sss601 mid/tweeter,clarion vx709 dvd deck with video mod,roadster66, and focal sub(if i can get it back), kenetic 1400battery 30sqft of sound matting

this only make me want it more. now the guy has not returned my text for 2 days....

had 2 sets sold them to corey friend and thunderdome so i bought a very nice set of clarion sss601(20month later) nib if someone will pay what i paid 225cnd i will order another set of focal......
was looking at a used set of utopia older but clean for 400 but i would have to set my set first

That really isnt much. The Old SoloBaric S10 model had 13mm. The PG ti10's I have do 18mm one way.
The JL w7 has something like almost 30mm one way.

The Focal still beats all the subs above. Just google the efficiency of the Focal compared to the Kicker thingy

The Focal 46KX4 i just bought only has 10mm of Xmax as well. But u would be blown of what those 10mm are capable to do with a good 1000 Watts on them at an efficiency of 96,5db 1W/1M

i wish the mid/tweeter set did not sell but what do you do
i will like the clarion if not i will buy another set

I will let go all my titanium speakers in a bit to raise funds for some focals. Just waiting for 00goobs to receive the TI9s save and sound and then the 4 TI6´s the TI crossover and a set of TI tweets will hit the market.
