I kind of like the looks. You can see its "guts", isn't that what we like? The fan is a quarter of the size of the amp, so heat shouldn't be a problem. For a small powered system, 6-8 of these things would be perfect for under the seat.

what does its little size have to do with how much heat it can create? With that efficiency rate it should not get all that hot but I have seen plastic cases like that melt in cars in the phoenix summer.

As my cousin is at the fore front of (he owns nanorex.com) nanotechnology , the only thing, other then its size, nano about it might be the processor and traces.

Here's another "mini" amp from RF describing boosted rail technology. Go to the video and watch. Pretty impressive. Can't wait to see how this will transfer into a more powerful amp.

I this a joke? I am usually very dubious about amps that have the "peak music power" listed above the basis rms power @ 4 ohms (like a lot of amps these days). I realize that this is purely a marketing ploy, but it still is dishonest and misleading. Regardless, I am especially suspicious of this amp for several reasons:

1. The "peak music power" listing...of 3000 watts!!! If it produces 30w at its listed THD, I'd be shocked.
2. Notice the comma in "0,01", not the correct "0.01". Also, in "14,4 volts". Not "14.4".
3. Nanotechnology? Really? Where?
4. Also, "Smallest Amplifier OF the World"? Not the "Smallest Amplifier In the World"?

This is 10 times worse than the red Pyramid PB1000 I had during college in the early 90s that claimed it made 800 watts @ 4 ohms bridged.

Wouldn't it be fun to see this thing up against an old PPI Promos 12?

How about doing some research on SounDigital before trashing this amp?

After a small glance at some of the posts i'm going to say that those of you who have heard sounddigital amps know they are
a stout amp, Many competitors use there amps in USACi and so on. I know they put out massive power but you need very large alts and banks of batteries. just cause it's small don't mean it does not pack a punch. so there is a few grammarical errors in the small print, big woop.

I recently did a few videos on the Rockford PBR300x1, including the one linked to above. I was impressed by this little joker, but will have a better idea once I get it in my car to see how it performs on a daily basis. I don't need (4) 15's and 5000w.... 300w and a couple of subs are fine for my needs. That said, I have considered picking up another one of these and putting one on each sub...and also trying out the 4 channel version, PBR300x4.

Also, as I failed to mention in the videos, but attempted to stress in my posts...I bought this amp with my own, hard-earned money and wasn't given any incentive to make the amp test or perform any certain way. Actually, you'll notice from the output demo, I got less output than Rockford by a rather substantial amount at 1 ohm (258w - my measurement vs 315w - Rockford's Birthsheet measurement). Although my tests are at 13.8v instead of 14.4v, still very interesting to see such a gap in power.

I'd like to get my hands on one of these SounDigital 250.2d2's also, especially to test RMS output. See both of my PBR300x1 videos below:
