Ok so my car got totaled by a nice lady that decided to run a stop sign :) Soooo I picked up a 2008 BMW 335i BUT the stereo SUCKS!!!

Sooo I did some research on how to improve the strereo but im a bit confused...a member wrote this:

"If base Stereo is what you have, your biggest issue is not adding an amp, but the processed signal coming out of the Professional CD player since it's coded for base Stereo.

You need to reverse or normalize that processing, either by re-coding the HU to HiFi, or by using an external processor to do that. For more on recoding, ask Patrys on this board or search for HU recode. Other means include the JBL MS-8, the audison bitone, Zapco DSP amps, and the JL Audio CleanSweep."

People are saying that zapco amps have the ability to over come me using a JL audio cleansweep but do all the zapco amps have this?

I dont even know where to start with this. Iv never used a stock deck with no rcas but this is seeming like a huge hassle

EDIT: I forgot to add, the front have 4" mid with tweet, 2 8" slim subs under the seat, and 4" in the rear

Brad :)

Ha ha ya right! I'm kinda glad I have someone here that knows my stress then lol I have the "base" stereo (no tweets, 4 4"mids and the 2 "subs" under the seat)

I actually wasent looking for anything crazy but just like my Astra, I was SQ and to turn it up so I can actually hear the music when the sunroof is open.

Brad :)

i had the 328 2007 than a 2008 335 both with the upgraded stereo but i found the same thing it was not loud the subs helped but i was going to do focal mid/tweets in the front you just have to watch how deep the mids are. it not hard to tap into the oem amp in the rear of the car left side if you go in line it show you what is what. i used my audio control l7 with line in rca out and my pg reactor in mine worked very good
i got the sub box and it had a crack the crack has been repaired by than bmw got me a acura tl as i had alot of problem with my 2
