Phoenix Gold FUSION amp? Anyone knows about it?

I was reading one of my back issues of Car Stereo Review, there was an article on the making of the Reactors. In that article, they mentioned PG had a secret amp under a sheet. It was called the FUSION and its half the size of the Reactor. Same color, anyone know anything?

I remember seeing that years ago in a magazine to... this was a little secret project of Gerry Desmaze, who used to work for PG years ago. I asked him what it was and he told me it was some little secret project that he was working on but never really materialised. A brother amp to the Reactor if you want. I know this because I had ask him for one of them for my show car!!! But instead we ended up customizing a ZX350 into a Reactor finish.

Sold it to a guy in Ontario a couple years back...Here's a pic of it. It was the only one ever done in the Reactor finish.

I have heard the Fusion was a pair of ZX350s back to back, or side to side. Or, at least that was the plan.

I can’t remember which one it was, side or back, all I know is one of them was an idea I came up with in my head, and wanted to build about 3 years ago. When I chatted with a PG employee about it, I was shocked to find out they already considered it. Back in the day, they were so creative, nothing was new to them.

In those days Jerry was one of the best at PG.

Wow, blast from the past. Jerry always had great ideas and tricks up his sleeve.

Eric D is right. Fusion was gonna be two ZX350's back to back, maybe with some built in caps. With ZX changing to Titanium that idea ended up morphing into the Octane.
