Net or Gross?

Hey guys.
Have a quick question.
Working on my enclosure and looking at the manual for my old school Kicker XPL 15" Subs, it only says this:

X15c
1.8/50.9 Minimum
2.7/76.4 Maximum

(that's it)

I've no idea if this is a gross or net volume. Is there a standard?

most company use net
the only time i have seen gross is when they should how to build the box with sub

right, I was just wanting to let him know that the motor/basket displacement should be listed on the data sheet.
